We far too easily accept our failings when they are pointed out by others, and we fail to notice and pay heed to any compliments and any good that we achieve. It's in the noticing and expanding of these positives that we help ourselves to shine.
Look carefully at all that went well today. Don't just notice the things that went awry or didn't work out. Learn from the 'mistakes' and then shift your thoughts to your successes.
Training your brain to think this way helps you to expect the best, even when things go awry or downright wrong you will still feel better than you normally would, simply because you have rewired your thinking to perceive challenges from new angles.
Begin those new thoughts today, or you will be starting all over again tomorrow or some future day. As the Chinese proverb goes "The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the next best time is now".
